Dr. Brianna Livesay, DOM, L.Ac., is a NCCAOM board-certified Doctor of Oriental Medicine and licensed acupuncturist. Dr. Livesay graduated from Maryland University of Integrative Health where she completed her clinical doctorate and residency programs. Dr. Livesay has completed certificates in psychoendoneuroimmunology (PENI), electroacupuncture, NADA Auricular Detoxification (Vagal Tone Adjustment and Stimulation) and cognitive neuroscience (Harvard). She runs a comprehensive practice utilizing the various pillars of Asian Medicine to treat patients including acupuncture/electroacupuncture, laser therapy, nutritional therapy, internal asian medicine, exercise, and manual therapies (gua sha, tui na, dry needling, cupping).


Dr. Livesay specializes in neuroscience from a Chinese Medicine lens and helps patients to understand how the body, mind and spirit function as an integrated whole. Dr. Livesay believes that patients should be active participants in their healing process. When they understand the "why" behind their health challenges, they can take control of their well-being and thrive. Her approach is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and a deep commitment to long-term healing.

Dr. Livesay Thayakaran has been a featured guest lecturer at McDaniel College of Westminster, Maryland and Chase Brexton Health Services of Baltimore, Maryland. In 2024 Dr. Livesay Thayakaran won Carroll’s Best for her acupuncture services at Carroll Hospital and in 2025 published her book Quantum Trinity, a groundbreaking publication that was the first to discuss the convergences of neuroscience, Asian medicine and spirituality.
